Warning on Low Carb diet

Whoa! hold your horses down… There’s actually nothing threatening about doing low carb diet. Now for those of you who ae trying to lose weight while pregnant, you should be aware of this warning. When we say low carb diet, most people think about eating lots of fish and meat. Well, of course there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s a completely safe diet for weight loss during pregnancy.

Now on to my warning… while there’s nothing bad about eating meat and fish, we do have to watch what kind of fish and meat we usually eat. I’ve only learned about this recently. oh why.

Anyway eating meat is good for pregnant women except for deli and processed sandwich meat. They contain Listeria which is a deadly bacteria that can result in miscarriage, it is actually harmless to people except for babies inside a woman’s womb. And raw meats, well, they don’t actually contain Listeria but they still contain bateria that can be harmful to your unborn baby.

As for fishes, there are certain kinds of fish that contain high levels of mercury which is harmful not just for pregnant women but for most people as well. Anyway, fishes with high levels of mercury include: shark, tuna, sea bass, title fish, king mackerel and swordfish.

This is all for now and I hope this shed some light on your pregnancy diet plan.

Morning Glory

Tired of complicated diet plan ? I’ve got something for you. Here’s a very simple and safe diet for weight loss in pregnancy. This is something that I most of the time eat during breakfast and something I would usually resort to if I’m feeling lazy.

This might not surprise you but during my prengnancy I ate oatmeal every breakfast. Eating oatmeal will not only help you lose weight since oatmeal won’t give your body unhealthy fats it will also give you nutrition. You can also add some flavoring on your meal such as fruit juices or put a healthy side dish in it. Do this regularly and you’ll starting noticing results.

Carbs

Just finished eating my breakfast and I’m planning to do my daily workout to burn off the weight that I gained over the week. I must be slacking off but oh well. I’ll probably just cut off my carb intake next week so I can single handedly lose some of my weight. I’m not intending to lose a large amount of weight.

Anyway, so I want to share how I used to cut off my carbs to lose the weight that I have during pregnancy. The simplest guideline I can give you is to eat foods with high protein and low carbs. Most people have adopted this low carb style of eating because of it’s quick and dramatic results. As for pregnant women, experts say that having a high protein, low carb diet is good for their babies.

sounds good huh? By the way, if you’re planning to consume on lots of meat be careful that you don’t put your cholesterol level way up. Put some moderation in it. That’s all for now. bye

Simple diet

Just watched some news about babies that are not born healthy. Experts say that for the most part it has something to do with how their mothers treated their bodies during the time they were pregnant. thank goodness my mom I was able to really take good care of myself while my little baby was still in my womb.

From my experience, most of the things I did to take good care of my pregnant body were focused on losing my weight since even though I don’t look fat I was still a bit overweight. At the time I was working on my losing my pregnancy weight, I had to do toned down exercises since I was pregnanct and I couldn’t do any exhaustive physical activities. As for my diet, I had to ask my mom and other friends for tips on safe diet for weight loss during pregnancy.

Since I was intending to talk about diet. Let me make a quick jab on my diet. It was really simple. As my mom advised, most of the food I ate were composed of fruits and vegetables. Now I don’t think you should be strict on yourself by only fruits and vegetables. I did eat fatty foods but I ate them with moderation.

Another thing you can add on your diet is to use low fat cooking oil for fried foods that you eat. I would recommend either olive or corn oil as your cooking oil since I’ve tried them both and according to experts they have good health effects on your body.

Anyway, these are all I can get from the top of my head for now. I’ll be back soon.
